Listening to Bernie Sanders read letters from people struggling in his state is so sad. What has happened to our country??? We used to compassionate and caring. I just don't get it. The President should be doing this.

1. The one about burning the furniture to keep warm

was heartbreaking. And the baby who got pneumonia twice because the family couldn't afford heat in a cold Vermont winter, And the man who has to walk 8 miles each way to keep his $10 an hour job because he can't afford gas -- he needs to pay for heat.

As Sanders said, these are good, hardworking people, not the lazy slobs the wealthy call them.

2. I have tears in my eyes over some of those letters. I honestly think we

are in the middle of the second gilded age, and what destroyed that was the great depression and of course the stock market crash that destroyed a lot of those gilded people!
