How's everyone's addiction going?
48, have you worn out your egg timer yet? Do you need a new one that has more time on it? ;)

I have been very good the past three days, but I'm afraid today is not starting out all that good! }(

1. Actually I've been pretty good!
Edited on Wed Nov-12-08 11:09 AM by 48percenter
I spend between 10-20 minutes a day on DU, and really no more. I am proud of myself.

You cannot quit cold turkey, BUT some of the stupid threads/topics/Obama-bashing have made it real easy to pop on here and then off. Of course I have to check and see what's happening in my Bidey-group. :grouphug:

But the rest of the stupid shit I could do without. :hi:

Plus I am kind of ticked the Skinner has not let up change our names (amnesty) I don't WANT to be 48percenter anymore!!

4. Some of those threads are pathetic
It appears that some people are addicted to being miserable and angry. They just can't shift gears. It DOES make it easy to push away as you say. Meanwhile, I can't break my addiction to MSNBC!

If people change their names, how will we recognize them?

5. Did Skinner actually address this? I've seen posts asking if we could
have amnesty, but I don't remember what, if any, response Skinner gave.

2. pretty good...
no longer feel an urgency to find out the latest news about Obama and Biden - not that I personally could have done anything about any of it one way or the other, but it's easy to get sucked into feeling like you're part of the whole thing...

Still checking in here mostly...

7. Well put -- "urgency to find out the latest news about Obama and Biden" --
that's exactly what it was like.

I just now usually get the news from here (DUers are the best with breaking headlines) -- none of the 'issue' type threads.

6. I'm doing pretty good -- I just check in a couple of times a day, but don't
stay on it ALL DAY like I used to.

Let yourself slide today -- we can't be perfect~!!

but then I get online and remember, oh yeah, election is over and Barack and Joe won. :)
