3. I thought it was. There are a couple of other folks here who agreed. |

Quite a few folks here didn't seem to like it, quit watching it early. I watched it all, and would up laughing much more than I have in ages. I thought it was one of the overall best eps in several years, even minus Tina Fey as Palin, and no more Amy Poehler.
PS Paul Rudd was a fantastic host, and Justin Timberlake was hysterical.

Everyone else is talking about it long before we get to see it.

6. Actually, its NOT out there |
|
I hadn't watched the clip as I'd seen the show. This clip was talking about all the comedy material that is out there for them to work with and that Biden hasn't said anything to make fun of.

7. Okay -- well I'll keep an eye out. Maybe NBC runs it on their site. |
|
Someone -- a DUer -- posted that s/he didn't think that the person portraying Joe was very good. That Joe is always distinguished, even when it seems like he's saying the wrong thing.

who posted that video, if he posts the whole sketch, NBC will just come along and take it down. So you have to watch it at NBC's site.

11. NOT is probably right |

Just a big waste of time and talent. I liked the way they portrayed him during the debate. It was funny but still respectful. This was just kind of dumb.

9. I didn't find it funny at all. |
|
I laughed for one second then just sat there in disbelief.
What was up with that eye blinking thing? I know it was suppose to be a comparison to Palin but him saying he couldn't blink??
Ya know - I read last week a couple of columns where people were writing that it's okay that they don't have the Bush administration to make fun of anymore ~ now they have Biden. Great, just great.
After I watched it, I had to ask myself if maybe I am just too oversensitive? I don't see humor in the scale of his gaffes.

12. It just was NOT funny |

They really captured Biden well during the debates, especially the way Joe prefaced criticism with praise - a real Bidenism, but this crap didn't even mean anything.
They need to have Joe on the show. Meanwhile, there are plenty of politicians out there just asking for ridicule. Ted Stevens is an absolute gift and he won't be around forever. Of course, Sarah is still fair game too.

13. true satire has to have an element of truth to it. |
|
This really didn't so it wasn't funny to me. First, the guy doesn't portray Biden very well. Second, he doesn't do or say anything that Biden remotely would. I'm sick of SNL and intend to stop watching. Their political humor isn't worth watching the show for, and overall the writing is underpar.
