3. They mentioned how he has been staying on message, so it was probably written |
|
before the flu remarks.
But that's great, I hadn't seen that. And I'm glad that they gave him the high marks he deserves.

4. Here is a good article written by Bob Shrum about the media and Joe |
|
http://www.theweek.com/article/index/96136/Is_Joe_Biden_an_amiable_dunceHe really points out how the media picks one thing to obsess about some politicians and just uses it over and over again without really looking at the person, like what the media did to Al Gore in 2000 (another great VP in my opinion).

5. Fantastic article - you should post it "out there" if it hasn't been |
|
I like what it said about Gore and Kerry and real priorities, and what's a REAL gaffe.

6. Awesome! Yesterday when I was googling Biden news, I came across |
|
some pro-Israel op-ed about his speech before aipac that said something like the way the media scrutinizes Biden's every word is like a rabbi scrutinizing a holy bible :P But the bad part was that they were saying not to pay too much attention to what Joe says, other than the push for the 2 state solution, because he goes off message too much. There you go. Here we have a foreign policy expert in the administration who has a direct affect on US foreign policy...and the US media has insulted him so much that foreign countries have picked up on it. Real nice, huh :eyes:
Off to read that piece by Shrum...

7. Under those circumstances, |
|
I think Obama needs to start taking the media's treatment of Joe more seriously and try to put more focus on Joe's many accomplishments. We can't have foreign governments buying into the "gaffe" crap.

8. I agree, and that's just another reason why this administration was wrong to let the |
|
media get away with beating up Joe all day last week....
or their little comments trying to put words into Joe's mouth.
Would it be so bad if Joe was allowed to answer for himself? Would it have been wrong if Joe joined Gibbs in the WH briefing the day after that happened? Let the media berate him face to face and give him the opportunity to answer for himself.
It's one thing when he was a Senator and he stepped over his tongue, but it's totally different when he is one heartbeat away.... Yeah, I know that goes both ways. He should've been more careful, but he also should be able to defend his honor.
