Security will be a pain, but I'm glad for it. I think I get a slightly-better-than-average seat through my friends - and my name was probably on the list that went through background check. Glad they're taking it seriously. I'm going to have to get up ridiculously early or go up the night before though - and we're all night people! :hangover:

my cheapo old digital camera and phone camera aren't very good. Heck, for this occasion, maybe I should break out the ol' SLR! Security might be a pain for that though.

7. I just spoke with a lady that helps me take

care of my special girl, and her granddaughter is graduating from ASU (Arizona State University) on Wed.... Dang! I should've asked her how I can get a ticket...

I get to go to a big event after all! SU isn't even requiring tickets for everyone - much smaller deal than ASU.

It's HUGE. I hope I can actually see something or they have TV screens! I wonder if any local TV stations or big media will stream it? White House press release talks about TV feed, so maybe C-Span will have it.

And certainly such moments were part of Thursday's ceremony, when the Delaware Historical Society presented its 2009 History Makers Award to Vice President Joe Biden, who was the state's longest-serving U.S. senator until he became the first Delawarean to hold the office of vice president.

A tribute from his sister, Valerie Biden Owens, and a Presidential Inauguration Committee video tracing Biden's life, from a baby carriage in Scranton, Pa., in 1942 to the Illinois platform where Barack Obama announced Biden as his running mate last August, seemed to move Biden in ways he didn't expect.

"I did not anticipate this would have the impact on me that it has," he said after accepting the award and a rocking chair bearing the crest of his alma mater, the University of Delaware.
