Finally got to watch the entire MTP interview |
|
and it went VERY well. Gregory didn't ask any gotcha questions, no stupid "gaffe" references. I'm so pleased right now.
I won't go into details, lest someone hasn't seen it yet, but there was one particularly interesting thing that Joe said.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/31354454#31354454I listened to part of it earlier but got distracted, so I probably missed stuff - like just now in the intro, they did it from Wilmington DE!

3. Going to get ready for bed, and watch it finally! |
|
It's finally quiet enough that I can have moments to swoon in peace :P
So glad to hear that Gregory didn't set him up.

5. There have been some negative reactions to |
|
the interview, but overall I think it was a good interview and this could be the start of Joe getting some media respect. You know NBC and MSNBC don't want have WH doors slammed their face.

6. I finally watched it and I re-watched that part that has DU so up in arms. |
|
What I heard Joe say was that no one could guess how bad the economy really was. I thought he was referring to what was left to this administration....I didn't hear him say that they were guessing on the impact of the economic stimulus package. Infact, what I heard was alot of confidence on how that amount was determined. How did you guys interpret it?
Infact, that was the first interview where I saw Mr Handsome act presidential. He was on message, he was ready and he knew his stuff. Even at the end when he was given an opportunity to bash Cheney, he didn't go for it.
I thought he did excellent!

7. It isn't fresh on my mind right now, |
|
but I thought he'd explained it very clearly, that the negative numbers would have been far worse if it wasn't for the stimulus package. I took the "guess" reference to mean they could only "estimate", not that they were tossing a coin.
I agree, he was very presidential. I hope the media gives us more of this Joe.
