1. I've heard Stewart shreds everybody at one time or another, so I wonder if it
was just a comedic snark/putdown/bit or if he really dislikes him? I'll see if I can find a clip, although it might piss me off.

2. This is true
I don't think Stewart dislikes Joe at all. He's just making a joke like the rest of them do. I can't say I liked the joke, but at least we're not hearing it as much as we used to.

The joke wasn't that funny and the whole "gaffe, talks too much" thing is getting old. Even if I wasn't a big fan of Joe, eventually the same material gets stale.

8. I don't know - I've just had this feeling for a long time about Stewart.
It's okay - I love Jon Stewart, even if he makes stupid jokes about Biden.

9. Its hard to not like Jon Stewart
Maybe he doesn't like Joe, but I really can't tell. Joe has been on The Daily Show and I think it went well, but can't remember it too well now.

3. I'm trying not to let this stuff bother me anymore
but its really hard sometimes. Stewart probably didn't even write the joke and even with his excellent delivery, I thought it fell kind of flat. I thought last night, if Joe had become president, we'd all be basketcases here every time someone criticized him and his policies. Joe as VP is much easier to handle. We're such a sensitive group!

4. Bwah! You're right == we'd be basketcases! The other day I had to apologize to
two different people in a thread because I thought they were attributing a lot of stuff to Joe (re: the Israeli announcement) that was unwarranted. My old knee jerk reaction to get in and defend him. Turns out they didn't mean their statements how I interpreted them! Old habits... :7

5. When I see all the criticism that Obama
gets from all sides, I can't help but think, "If that was Joe, I'd go ballistic!" Even if Joe did something I disagreed with, I'd end up making excuses for him.

6. Oh yeah -- I didn't even think of how Obama is getting shredded -- far worse
than Joe ever was, and you're right -- that's how it would be if Joe were POTUS.

Glad I'm not an Obama devotee, I'd have to be sedated.

7. Its a good thing that Obama has that "cool"
thing going for him. He's too liberal, he's too conservative. He's doing too much, he's not doing enough (or FAST enough). He spends too much time overseas when we have so many problems at home. He's trying to be a dictator, he's not a forceful leader.

When you're president, you are going to get attacked from everywhere. Can you imagine John McCain as president with that nasty temper of his? He'd be exploding on a daily basis. You have to have pretty thick skin to reside in the White House. I know I couldn't do it.

10. They're both too smart (and nice and funny) to take this seriously, imo.

11. I agree
We can reserve our disdain for some of the idiots in the MSM. There certainly are enough of them.
