Kaiser Permanente - don't waste your time applying for insurance |
|
I just have to say that, if you've had so much as a HANG NAIL, KP will NOT insure you. So don't even bother.

1. If it is any consolation, KP health systems suck |
|
At least, in my household, we ended up after $ 4K worth of tests with a diagnosis that included the admonition - no diabetes detected.
Well, they forgot to give my spouse the test for diabetes - a simple $ 15 test.
So his blood sugar went raging into the 300 to 500 realm, for several months,. After they finally said, "Okay we were wrong," they put my spouse on the absolute worst medicine for him. IT affected his liver, which was already extremely troubled.
By the time everything was made right, blood sugar wise, my spouse had huge cataracts that needed operations. (He was blind for nine months. We had been tested for our eyesight just five months before this happened - with the eye doctor saying he was not in any danger of cataracts soon.)
Luckily the eye surgeon Kaiser employs for the San Rafael area is the best in the state. But still...
And don't get me started on what they do to most SF Bay Area women in terms of their Ob/GYN health.
