Need some help here - Eye of Newt, and toe of Rick, |
|
Wool of Mitt, and tongue of Paul,
There are many clever and inspirational people here. I need something to recite throughout the day being surrounded by RW'ers of, you know, typical sheeple mind. Thanks.

1. I'm not religious, but I still find this helpful: |
|
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.

2. Perhaps you have little doubt that my continuing efforts, |
|
not through typical RW media tactics, but rather by using REASON and FACTS, are indeed changing the minds of my co-workers? After all, it is I with the courage to examine events and situations and to pass on observances of how things can be better.
Do I interpret you correctly as a serene person? If not please explain to me the difference - I'm not understanding you.
V/R Ed

3. I'm only referring to those whose opinions that you cannot change |
|
Like my mother. *sigh* ;)
Since most people aren't all that well informed, just giving them the facts can work wonders, definitely has worked for me on numerous occasions. :)
But it does come in handy for other things, too, like being stuck in traffic... I'm not serene at all, so I use this a lot. :hi:

5. Sorry, I thought that you were looking for something to recite. |
|
That's always made a lot of sense to me, though my issue is that I can't always tell the difference. :D
But it is true that most people are not all that well informed. Most just aren't paying much attention, or swallow uncritically what they hear from news organizations that are clearly biased. A lot of people I know believe that they're "middle of the road," but they actually aren't. The "middle" has moved to the right, when they weren't looking... :( :hi:
