1. Yes, a user can ask to be tombstoned. |
|
We don't always grant the request. But there's no harm in asking.

3. Well, can you please "tombstone me now," Skinner? |
|
It could be fun!
You could use this epitaph:
Here Lies Writer She Came She Wrote a Little She Died
And all my friends can get all weepy, and all my enemies can celebrate my demise with insults and one of several variations of my name, such as "Right-er" or "Wrong-er."
But in all seriousness, it would also help out a doctoral student who needs to focus on preparing for her comprehensive exams in the spring. No longer having access to my account would prevent me from getting keyboard happy.
Will you help me?

4. I would prefer not to. |
|
Another option is I could change your password and email address so you can't get in. That way you wouldn't show a tombstone.

5. Okay, I'll accept that compromise. |

Sounds like a plan.
And if you can throw in a 13-month extension on unemployment benefits, all the better. :)
Edit to add: Thanks, Skinner!
