would it be possible for the Admins to pin their OP's?
I was wondering if it would be possible if the 3 Admins could pin their OP's at the top of the forum for a time especially the significant ones like rule changes or the existence and location of the DU3 preview site and stuff like that. We can't hide OP's made by the Admins and after they're read they just keep floating up and down the page or fall back to Page 2 and beyond (a region I think most of us in GD rarely tread). Once I've read an Admin OP and maybe some replies I don't really have any reason to see it again although there are some that are important enough to need to refer back to, so with them on the float it's either a case of "go away already I've read this" or "where the hell is it". More importantly though there's probably a lot of people here that miss Admin OP's completely because they aren't here every day and after that those threads would have usually gone on to the nether regions of Page 2 and beyond. If they were pinned for some period of time at the top of the page you can more easily ignore the ones you read and have no reason to look at again and also see the ones you may have missed because you haven't been here for a few days.

Could you also please give me the link for the DU3 Preview again? I forgot to bookmark it, and the OP announcing that is far off in the nether regions (classic example of "where the hell is it"). Maybe that one should be pinned for awhile because there's probably a lot of DUer's that are infrequent visitors that don't know about it?

Incidentally, I don't even know of Admins have the ability to pin threads to the top of the forum or not... I'm just assuming it can be done because it seems like every other forum I've seen it seems to be a built in feature. I actually can't remember ever seeing a pinned thread here before, so I don't know if this is even a feature for the Admins here.

1. We tend to not pin stuff because we get the feeling people don't see pinned threads.
As for the DU3 preview, it was only a one-week preview to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I really wanted to keep it open, but we decided to close it up because we felt it would be easier to program if we didn't have people on it.

2. alrighty
It was just a thought. Sounds like this was something that didn't work out very well in the past.
