Sorry to bother you guys but I usually make one yearly lump sum donation to DU during the fund drive around Valentines. I like giving out the hearts. But this year my star has been removed and we haven't got to that fund drive yet? If I am not donating enough to get me through from one year to next let me know and I will donate some more? If I donate a little more would that prevent me from losing my star next year about this time again before the Valentine fund drive begins?
And in the meantime I was wondering if perhaps as a gesture of good will if you could turn my star back on for a little bit longer just until the next fund drive begins and I will make my normal annual donation then as I have done every year for about a decade now? I promise.
Thanks a million for any help with this.

This year the fund drive is a week later than it was last year so I think a number of people are finding their donor star has expired. The next fund drive begins this Sunday (Feb 13) at 7:00 PM ET.
Here's what you can do: if you would like to donate now to get your donor status turned back on, go ahead and do that. Then send an email to skinner@democraticunderground.com to let him know you donated, and we will make sure you are credited with hearts to give out when the fund drive begins on Sunday.
Thanks for your support!

I will probably just wait until Sunday evening so that way I won't have to bother Skinner or you guys about it any more.
It is not that big of a deal.
Thanks again, and take care and see you later.
And thank you all for the great site. Still the best after all these years.
