Is there any official DU position on the use of voting machines? |

1. There isn't an official DU position on most issues. |

My personal opinion is this: Many legitimate concerns have been raised about voting machines.
But if that's all you have to vote on, you still better vote.

So we know there are many legitimate concerns.
So maybe the mods can understand that when someone posts on the board that there is no evidence of fraud, that post should be met with the ridicule it deserves?
We are talking about the roots of of democracy - The Vote - so when someone comes on the board and attempts to tell us that we are wrong, it makes sense that passion arises.
Where would we be without passion for the most elemental security of our vote?

Our rules do not have an exception for "if you think the person deserves it."

No passion allowed? No fudging of the rules, unless against an out and out anti-Democrat?
It is allowed for anti-Democrats to be shamed and decried.
In my view, anybody who claims there is no reason to be concerned about vote theft is against all we are trying to accomplish. Given that some may be so deluded as to think our votes would not be stolen, I can see some leeway, but minor infractions of the rules to try and leverage some knowledge into their wistful heads should not be so rigidly enforced.
There comes a point where DU needs to stand up and be counted as being a true enforcer against vote theft.
