Cue endless cheesy "deeluxe apartment in the sky" and "finally got a piece of the pie" references.

He was funny in the Jefferson's and he was a funny actor.

2. Whoopi Goldberg pointed out that the Jeffersons were the first African Americans portrayed on TV as

wealthy. And, of course, there was the interracial neighbor couple. But that was Norman Lear and the writers, more than the actors.

I assume that Whoopi was correct on that because the timing certainly seems right. However, all the women on that show say a lot of wrong stuff as though it were fact and no one catches or questions it.

Walters errs less often than the rest, but I wonder if they do any prep at all before they go on national tv and pull faux facts out of their ears?

Behar said on TV that Hasselbeck calls O'Reilly before the show--and Hasselbeck did not contradict her--but that certainly is not going to help anyone get their facts straight.
