May be posting a DU3 occu-forum update -- visiting the office at Oupy. DC today

Or at least I would be if I were not concerned about using an ocu-computer to access my DU profile.

I don't know if ellisonz is hereabouts (he has been busy offline too, I think, so I haven't seen him much on DU3 either, but I've been posting here more than there, which isn't saying much) but in case he was wondering, the community project I've been working on has had an unexpected breakthrough. I hope.

Where's KoKo?

2. My problem is I'd be posting far more were I less involved now. Before it was "if I were more."
If there were a way to post without basically introducing myself personally
and saying, "yeah, I'm involved in project X and here's where I'll be today."

Because the news I have to report is fascinating but it's inside baseball...

OK, for instance... O~DC is currently struggling to keep their office because
of an incident. They're planning a major gathering on the 1-year anniversary.

I wonder if Skinner would let DUers who were actively involved in stuff but
do not wish to give out their personal details use a shared account?

3. What I mean is, there's tons of stuff I want to post both here and on DU3 but
if I do so I'm basically have to identify myself, what projects I'm working on currently
(nothing particularly civil disobedience, actually, but a lot of stuff that is anti-City Hall), etc.

Hay, maybe I can ask a fellow DUer to post updates! That's the ticket.

6. I just remembered that a poster (or a screen name) once claimed to be a group of

people posting at DU under the one name.

I think he, she it or they claimed to be pyschics or astrologers or something that supposedly gave them "inside" (or outside) info
on the outcome of the 2008 election.

He, she, it or they did not stick around very long. I do not recall the screen name or anything special about the posts.

My point is, he, she, it or they never said anything about having gotten permission to do what they claimed they were doing. They just opened up a DU account, shared it (supposedly) and announced on the board that a number of people were posting under the one screen name. Always referred to "we,' not "I."

How could any reader claim they were not telling the truth?

All they would have needed to do would have been to confide in each other about the account name and the password.

I guess you could do something like that, with or without asking permission from an admin?

Meanwhile, the important thing is what you are doing IRL for Occupy. With that, I wish you all the very best, whether you can safely post about it or not.

Come to think of it, I wish you all the very best, whether you work for Occupy or not. Your efforts on behalf of Occupy are appreciated, but so are you!

Do what you need to do, but make sure you protect yourself, too. If that means you can't post about it, or that you can post only vague things, so be it.

4. The only way to know if Skinner would allow it is to ask him.

I think you have to find a way to make it easy for him though, as opposed to his having to be involved in the nitty gritty of finding members who want to be in the group.

5. Thank you for your service!
And the updates!

Also, I know ellisonz has been posting some on DU3, not sure about KoKo.
