Marco Rubio says number of tax returns Mitt Romney releases not 'relevant issue'
Marco Rubio says number of tax returns Mitt Romney releases not 'relevant issue'

By Alex Leary, Times Staff Writer
August 2, 2012

.....

"I honestly don't think it's that big a deal," the Florida Republican and top Romney surrogate said Wednesday. "If he releases three years, they'll ask him for four. If he releases four, they'll ask him for five.

"If (people) think there should be more disclosure, they should pass a law to make it that way. I think he's complied with everything the law asks of a presidential candidate. ... He's released as many years as John McCain did. I don't really think it's a relevant issue."

.....

Romney Persona Non Grata in Italy for Bain’s Deal Skirting Taxes, August 6, 2012, Bloomberg News

Yeah, Rubio. Of course, you don't think it's relevant.

We're also 'sure' that the long list of your personal charges on the GOP American Express Card over 2005-2008 are equally 'irrelevant' to your unbridled ambition to climb into power on the national stage.

'Spending big with little scrutiny', Mr. Rubio knows quite intimately.

What else are you hiding, Mr. Rubio?

This guy just doesn't know when to shut up.

• Rubio will stump for Romney on Thursday (last week) in Orlando as a counter to President Obama's visit. "It'll be an interesting time to remind Americans of what a failure his policies have been for Floridians." Rubio will join Romney when the candidate makes a bus tour through Florida on Aug. 13.

• He's installed the iPhone app that will be used to disclose Romney's vice presidential running mate. Rubio, thought to be in the VP mix, was asked in jest what can be divined from that. "I don't know ... you can divine whatever you want. I just think it's pretty cool. I think it's a good way to announce it." He refused to comment on the VP selection process but was reminded that some people think he's too inexperienced. "I get more experience every day," the 41-year-old replied to laughter.

.....

It is an absolute shame that this individual is swinging his feet and running his mouth from the big leather chair in the U. S. Senate.

A crass failure of leadership for the people of Florida.

But he is an expert on living off of other people's money.

4.  Supposedly, and somewhat surprisingly, Rubio was raised in the Mormon Church until he was about 12.
I don't think Romney would risk adding him to the ticket for that reason, even if he otherwise wanted him on.

I know Christians who think Mormons are satanic (literally, motivated by Satan, where they know it or not).

Maybe they are desperate enough to live with Romney's being Mormon. After all, he was raised that way. However, don't know if they will forgive Romney for giving them a two Mormon ticket.

I wonder if Romney considered Huckabee? Huck's probably making too much money to want the VP slot at this point.

2. Thank God you people have Rethugs to tell you what you should want to remain uninformed about!
Ignorance is bliss.

I wonder why McCain wanted to see 23 years worth of Romney's returns? Are the Republicans telling us they ran a fool for President last time?

I wonder why Presidential candidate George Romney ponied up 12 years worth, saying one years' worth could only be for show? (Mind you, Willard has wanted to be President since at least the early 1990s.)

I wonder the dumbass American voters always wants to see as many years of returns as anyone will let them see?

If Willard, to be President, cannot give the American public the same set of documents he gave McCain in 2008 to be Vice President, fine. Just give me a good, credible reason why. And no, the fact that your opponent might pick it apart is not a good credible reason why. That is called simply a political campaign.

News flash, this is not about you and Obama. It is about the American voter. And "you people" have no right to keep information from us if you expect our votes.

Guess what, Wilard? In the voting booth, we decide what is relevant to us, not you or Lovey or Rubio or any of your other campaign surrogates. So you can be as arrogant and as condescending to the American voter about this as you all please. In the end, we will tell you people what is relevant to a campaign and what isn't.

The voting booth is the one time we get to have our say on how beautiful the Emperor's or the wannabe Emperor's new clothes are.

:puke:

3. P.S. That is Cornelius Harvey McGillicuddy Mack IV to you!
From the wiki of one of his ancestors, Connie Mack, Sr., long time baseball manager:
Family

Mack's son Earle Mack played several games for the A's between 1910 and 1914, and also managed the team for parts of the 1937 and 1939 seasons when his father was too ill to do so. In more recent years, his descendants have taken to politics: Mack's grandson Connie Mack III was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida from 1983 to 1989 and the United States Senate from 1989 to 2001, and great-grandson Connie Mack IV currently serves in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Florida's 14th congressional district.

Another child of great privilege makes good in American plutonomy! What a surprise!
