Margaret & Helen: Let’s vote Mitt off the Island. I mean it. Really.
I am between two places right now. Closed on the new home last Friday. Trying to set up a place for the kitties in the barn. They have to have a window and a fenced-in exit to the outside. Told the hubby this has to happen before I will make the final move. I simply cannot let them just run loose in brand new surroundings.

Hoping that I can trap my two resident ferals, and take them with us. Not a good idea to relocate the wild ones, but I have been feeding Scarlet for 12+ years. Almost unheard of that she would live that long in the wild, according to the vet.

And her boyfriend, Tommy (who is probably hoping Scarlet will succumb to his manliness one of these mating seasons) is very protective...so he must go with us too. I haven't told him yet that she has been spayed.

If you have a spare minute, please send some positive vibes for my sweet daughter, who is having a breast biopsy next Thursday. As you may or may not remember, I was dx'ed back in 1997, so this scares the hell out of me.

Ok...on to the subject of my OP. :hi:

Love these two old gals. ("I'm allowed to describe them as old, because I am too.)

Margaret, with a natural disaster as big as Sandy, chances were pretty good that a Republican foot was going to end up in a mouth declaring that God was punishing liberals in blue states. Imagine my surprise when instead Governor Chris Christie decided to put partisan politics aside and work with the President to help citizens in need. I wonder if other Republicans were paying attention?

Unfortunately they were, but the lesson was clearly lost on them. Many suggested that Christie has eyes for a Presidential run in 2016 which can’t happen if Romney wins. Others offered that Christie was seeking revenge for not being selected as the Vice Presidential candidate.

Our favorite big-footed gal suggested that Christie “is hoping to use Obama to plug a dike.” Do I really have to attribute that quote to Ann Coulter or could you just tell by the fifth-grade mentality?

But in the ultimate pot meets kettle moment, Rush Limbaugh called Christie “fat and a fool” saying the New Jersey Governor “doesn’t know what he is talking about.” Oh Rush Limbaugh you fat, fool – heal thyself.

You have been in my thoughts. I am glad you are almost ready to move. What a big job!

As far as Willard, I agree with Margaret and Helen.

From Day One, he has said anything, and I do mean anything, he thinks will help him get votes. Either he has no core principles or he is concealing them.

Either way, not vote-worthy.
