Bill O'Reilly on the View |

"Jesus's main theme was that working people should not be exploited, so that ties in with Pope Francis."
Say what?
That was not Jesus's main theme at all.

1. They make it up as they go along. |

They know their listeners don't know scripture so they can say anything.

2. Except that O'Reilly just wrote a book about Jesus. |
|
I am assuming that he consulted, at a minimum, the words that appear in red in some versions of the New Testament, the words attributed to Jesus.
Then again, O'Reilly makes Jesus sound a little like a Communist. "Workers of the World, Unite!" pope Francis, too.

3. Mostly Pope Francis said that trickle down economics |
|
is a failure. And he is correct. The wealthy pay a lower federal tax rate than middle income. And 30 cents of every tax dollar used to come from corporations. Where has it gotten us? Decades of Reagan bullshit and nothing to show for it. Hardly communism or even socialism. Progressive taxation should be the standard.
