Is there a way to mark a whole category "Not Interested" so that it won't clog my browsing?

Is there a way to mark a whole category "Not Interested" so that it won't clog my browsing?
Suppose, for instance, that I am very confident that I will never watch any Anime program via Netflix. As such, I would prefer that the "New Arrivals" categories not include 7,000 Anime titles. However, it is a pointlessly laborious process to remove them one by one; can I instead simply get rid of it? If I want to watch an installment of this or that program, I will seek it out. Until then, I'd rather not have to wade through a ton of programs that are of no interest to me whatsoever.

This is not an indictment of fans of the genre, as I'm confident that I enjoy programming that many other people find unappealing!

But what to do about it?

1. Someone on here told me about Netflix instant watcher. I tried the free version first
and ended up paying the 2.99 for it. It might not get rid of the new arrivals or the anime, but it lets me look at what I want. Say I want to look at dramas, I can see more and then all I see is dramas. Or children and family then all i see is children and family. I know, why should I have to spend money on it. but that netflix browser is a PITA at times. It keeps showing me movies I don't want to see. Especially when my kids watch cartoons and then it shows me cartoons as things I might be interested in watching. I wish they'd make the netflix browser so you could mark uninterested in a movie and it would remove it and movies like it. that would be nice.

4. Someone in this very group pointed me toward Instant Watcher
A magnificent online service! I consult it in preference to the actual Netflix website! Much more useful and user-friendly format!

2. Under Suggestions for you
go to Taste Preferences and click Often, sometimes or Never. That way the "never" group will be less likely to show up in your queue.

3. Good suggestion!
After spending some time manually deleting every anime film I could find in the "New Arrivals" section, I was amazed to see a whole bunch of hitherto hidden films revealed in that category, which actually underscores the problem:

It's not bad enough that the to-your-tv streaming service doesn't allow you to exclude titles or genre; it keeps the same dozen shitty offerings in the "New Arrivals" category so that it appears that nothing new has arrived.

I can think of no reason at all why the tv streaming service can't be every bit as flexible as the online format.

Somebody must be making a buck somewhere...

5. I do have "children and family" listed as "never" in my Taste Preferences, and yet,
when they gave me movies to rate, they kept suggesting episodes of Sponge Bob Squarepants and Veggie Tales. :wtf:

6. I've experienced this as well
I sometimes watch animated features Disney movies, Pixar, that kind of thing. But because I do, my queue is littered with anime, which I never watch.
