Chuck Schumer says a 'lawless' Trump has caused a constitutional crisis.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/chuck-schumer-lawless-trump-constitutional-crisis-rcna197188

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said President Donald Trump’s escalating attacks on the judiciary have resulted in a constitutional crisis in the United States.

In an interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” Schumer assailed Trump’s recent calls to impeach a judge who ruled against him in a case involving his efforts to deport Venezuelan immigrants. Judges and plaintiffs in some cases have accused Trump of violating or sidestepping court orders as he faces a litany of legal challenges to his executive actions.

When asked if he agrees with scholars who say the U.S. is in a constitutional crisis, Schumer responded, “Yes, I do.”

“And democracy is at risk. Look, Donald Trump is a lawless, angry man. He thinks he should be king. He thinks he should do whatever he wants, regardless of the law, and he thinks judges should just listen to him,” Schumer told moderator Kristen Welker. The full interview will air on “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

These six Democrats are showing the party how to resist Trump 2.0

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/03/17/democrats-trump-resist-sanders-aoc-murphy-walz/

As leadership dithers, individual politicians are taking up the fight.

Many on the left, myself included, are furious at Democratic Party officials for not aggressively contesting President Donald Trump. The decision by Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (New York) last week to acquiesce to a Trump-backed budget bill was the latest in a series of capitulations by congressional Democrats. Even worse is California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who has bizarrely decided this is the time for him to start a podcast with softball interviews of pro-Trump conservatives such as Stephen K. Bannon and Charlie Kirk.

But there are some Democratic politicians who are showing real fight and resolve — and have from the start of Trump’s second term. They are not only voting against his initiatives but attacking him in ways intentionally designed to get media attention and galvanize opposition against the new administration.

Here are some of the stars of Resistance 2.0, at least in the first two months of the second Trump administration. It’s not a comprehensive list, nor is it a power ranking (I have ordered them alphabetically), but each of these figures has distinguished themselves in ways that others in the party should emulate.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (Texas). Asked what she would tell Elon Musk if she had a chance to speak with him, Crockett had a two-word answer: “F — off.”

Sen. Chris Murphy (Connecticut) Within weeks of Trump’s inauguration, the Connecticut senator, not previously known as a liberal firebrand, was using terms such as “red alert” and “constitutional crisis.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (New York) Other Democrats should emulate how Ocasio-Cortez dealt with Homan. She both belittled him — he can’t even get a MAGA attorney general to take him seriously — and cast him as an authoritarian.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker Jan. 20, only hours after the inauguration, the 60-year-old governor released a statement sharply criticizing the president’s initial executive orders and correctly predicting Trump would ignore the rule of law on a number of issues

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) In many ways, the 83-year-old’s “Fighting Oligarchy” national tour is nothing new. Sanders spent 2016 to 2020 traveling the country and bashing the wealthy in his two presidential campaigns.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz “The road to authoritarianism is littered with people saying, ‘You’re overreacting,’” he told the crowd in Des Moines.

We have warriors like these people . Where is our leadership?

When Dems talk about the Musk shit storm of the day they should preface it with

Republicans, Musk and Trump have allowed ,

Republicans, Musk and Trump have allowed a 23-year-old DOGE worker IT system access to department that manages the U.S. nuclear weapon arsenal.

Make clear on everything that the Republicans and Trump are allowing Musk to do whaever he wants. They have put him in charge.

The Department of Education?
The Republicans, Trump and Musk have shut down the Department of Education.

Make those fuckers own it.

Musk and aides were caught replacing the hard drives at OPM.

Doesn't our government have IT people to do that? I'm curious to know if the new drives have a back door in them. Is that possible?

What exactly is Musk's position in our government? Was he appointed?

Confirmed? Was he hired? Is he getting a salary? Why is the Lincoln bedroom his new office? Or does he just stroke Trump balls?

Why is he getting sensitive information from the treasury? And access to sensitive government e mails?

Why are Democrats okay with this?

JFC, that fucker is the nastiest mother fucking piece of shit that has

ever been allowed to live much less stand and spew nasty hatred on national TV and not be yanked off air. It's Biden's and Obama's fault because they allowed handicap people to be hired as traffic controllers . Un fucking believable.

Might be just me but this does not comfort me in any way.

In light of the current situation it kind of irritates me.
