Taco Donnie orders nuclear submarines moved near Russia after 'foolish and inflammatory statements' from Medvedev

Donald Trump has said he had ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in regions near Russia in response to threats from former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.

Trump said in a post on Truth Social:

Based on the highly provocative statements of the Former President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who is now the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Another University bends the knee to king tRump along with a 50 million dollar tribute

Brown University agrees to pay $50 million to settle dispute with Trump administration"

Brown University announced on Wednesday it “reached a voluntary agreement with the federal government to restore funding for the University’s federally sponsored medical and health sciences research and resolve three open reviews assessing Brown’s compliance with federal nondiscrimination obligations”.

As part of the agreement, signed by Christina H Paxson, the president of Brown, attorney general Pam Bondi, education secretary Linda McMahon and health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, Brown will pay $50m “to state workforce development organizations operating in compliance with anti-discrimination laws” over the next 10 years.

One provision of the agreement stipulates that “Brown shall not maintain programs that promote unlawful efforts to achieve race-based outcomes, quotas, diversity targets, or similar efforts”. Defining the effort to bring diversity to campuses as a form of illegal discrimination against white students is a core element of the Trump administration’s ideological war on higher education.

“Accordingly,” the agreement adds, “Brown will provide a timely report to the United States summarizing its compliance with this obligation, including an assurance that Brown has acted responsibly to ensure its programs do not promote unlawful DEI goals.”

tRump says federal staff can encourage co-workers to "re-think" religious beliefs, Supervisors can solicit employees

Civil servants can seek to "persuade others of the correctness of their own religious views,” the Office of Personnel Management said in the memorandum to federal agencies, adding employees must ensure their efforts are “not harassing in nature.” OPM issued the guidance to restore constitutional freedoms and enable feds to practice their religious practices without fear of retaliation, the agency said.

“Federal employees should never have to choose between their faith and their career,” OPM Director Scott Kupor said. “This guidance ensures the federal workplace is not just compliant with the law but welcoming to Americans of all faiths.”

As an example of the new policy, OPM said that during a break one employee can engage another “in polite discussion of why his faith is correct and why the non-adherent should rethink his religious beliefs." The employee should stop if the “nonadherent” colleague asks him to, according to the guidance.

The guidance is not entirely a departure from existing federal policy. The Labor Department has for at least several years maintained guidance that suggests “employees who seek to proselytize in the workplace should cease doing so with respect to any individual who indicates that the communications are unwelcome.”

US home sales fade in June as prices soar to record levels

Source: AP

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sales of previously occupied U.S. homes slid in June to the slowest pace since last September as mortgage rates remained elevated and the national median sales price rose to an all-time high of $435,300.

Sales of previously occupied U.S. homes slid in June to the slowest pace since last September as mortgage rates remained elevated and national median sales prices hit unprecedented levels.

Existing home sales fell 2.7% last month from May to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.93 million units, the National Association of Realtors said Wednesday.

Sales were flat compared with June last year. The latest home sales fell short of the 4.01 million pace economists were expecting, according to FactSet.

Banskters are profiting bigly off tRumps pump and dump stock market

Eye-popping trading revenues, across the board. Together, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, and Morgan Stanley hauled in nearly $34 billion in trading revenue this quarter, a 17% jump over the same period last year. Equities and FICC (fixed income, currencies, and commodities) desks up and down the Street have feasted on tariff-induced churn. Goldman alone reported a 36% surge in equities trading revenue and posted earnings per share of $10.91, far above forecasts.

JPMorgan, which kicked off earnings season Tuesday, also blew past expectations with $14.2 billion in profit. Trading revenue hit records in both equities (+15%) and fixed income (+14%), while its consumer division notched a 23% rise in profit — evidence that upper-income Americans, at least, are still spending.

Citigroup joined the parade with its best second-quarter trading haul since 2020. Equities trading rose 6%, while FICC jumped 20%. Even BlackRock got a boost, hitting a record $12.5 trillion in assets under management, though a single $52 billion client withdrawal raised eyebrows – because at some point, it's possible, the tide is going to turn. Blackrock framed the redemption as a single, low-fee, nonrecurring event, but it’s a possible signpost for markets nonetheless.

Perhaps that is why the banks’ CEOs issued rather downbeat warnings alongside their upbeat results. JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon flagged “a number of uncertain forces,” including trade instability, geopolitical tension, and elevated asset prices. Goldman’s David Solomon echoed the concern, noting that “developments rarely unfold in a straight line.”

After spending $260 million buying 1,300 acres Michigan loses massive semiconductor plant.

The company planning a massive semiconductor manufacturing center that promised 10,000 jobs near Flint pulled the plug on the deal this week, according to Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who blamed the move on “national economic turmoil."

The Sandisk Corporation had been eying the Genesee County megasite — about 1,300 acres so far, funded by $260 million in taxpayer dollars. Michigan was the company’s “preferred destination,” Whitmer said Monday in a statement.

The firm’s decision to drop the $63 billion project followed a years-long effort to assemble the massive property, which the state’s economic developers said was a top site in the nation for such a facility.

Whitmer has made the project a central focus of her second term. In May, she laid out her goal to land a major semiconductor fabrication plant by the end of next year — her last in office.

tRump crime family wants to complete the Russification of US elections

Three Democratic U.S. senators are raising concerns about a searchable citizenship data system developed under the Trump administration, warning that its use could lead to the disenfranchisement of eligible voters.

NPR was the first news outlet to report in detail about the tool, which U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) says can be used to verify the citizenship of most people listed on state voter rolls if a Social Security number, name and date of birth are provided.

The Department of Homeland Security system links a network of federal immigration databases with Social Security Administration data. That integration means county and state election officials can check the citizenship of not only foreign-born naturalized citizens, but also U.S.-born citizens for the first time.

The Trump administration has been combining and linking government data sets on Americans in unprecedented ways, and there are questions about what the federal government could do with the voter roll data states share.

“DOJ hits states with broad requests for voter rolls, election data”

The Trump administration and its allies have launched a multipronged effort to gather data on voters and inspect voting equipment, sparking concern among local and state election officials about federal interference ahead ofthe 2026 midterms.

The most unusual activity is happening in Colorado — a state that then-candidate Donald Trump lost by 11 points — where a well-connected consultant who says he is working with the White House is asking county clerks whether they will allow the federal government or a third party to physically examine their election equipment….

Separately, the Justice Department has taken the unusual step of asking at least nine states for copies of their voter rolls, and at least two have turned them over, according to state officials.

Trump wants to expand prior authorization for traditional Medicare through private companies.

Per Rep Mark Pocan threads post: The worst part? Those companies will get a cut for each claim they deny, clearly leading to corporations putting profits over patient care. This is unacceptable.
