The Ricketts Plan To Slime President Obama Backfires In Chicago...
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/05/20/bernstein-tom-ricketts-thinks-were-fools/The owners of the Chicago Cubs are trying to spin themselves away from the $10 million Joe Ricketts plan to slime President Obama. Looks like it's not working:
The same day, Laura Ricketts stepped from the background into the limelight, representing ownership at the Kerry Wood retirement festivities. Nothing makes a better human shield in times of PR crisis than the readily-available Obama supporter. In case of emergency, break glass contains one liberal lesbian.
Heres what Ricketts is trying to do that is so galling: hes retroactively refashioning the story of the familys purchase of the Cubs, in a vain attempt to remove his father, Joe, from history.
Hes not involved in anything we do as a team, Tom Ricketts told the paper. Hes not involved in the team its apples and oranges. Maybe its difficult for some people to separate the two, but thats just the way it is.
Its difficult because of the truth. Its Joes money. Joe bought the team, with the kids out in front of the parade. Theres a YouTube video from 2010 in which daddy himself explains how the Cubs were acquired.

Rushbo's New Competitor Off To A Flying Thud...
http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2012/04/huckabee-show-opens-with-staged-caller-120137.htmlMike Huckabee launched his new radio program without a hitch yesterday -- except it appears that his first caller was actually a plant.
The American Spectator's Jeffrey Lord has unearthed the true identity of one "Mike from San Francisco," who turns out to be Mike McVay, the senior vice president of programming for Cumulus Media, which owns and operates Huckabee's new show.
"Well Governor, let me start by saying it's great to have a different opinion and a different person on the radio and I'm very, very happy that you're doing this radio show," McVay -- or "Mike from San Francisco" -- told Huckabee. "One of the reasons why I want to listen to your program every day is because you ran for office and you've been a politician, you have a different perspective I think."
Lord also notes what's not being said, but certainly implied: the "different perspective" is a reference to Rush Limbaugh.
