Ohio Redistricting Reform will be on the ballot
COLUMBUS, Ohio Voters will decide in November whether to overhaul Ohios system of drawing political district maps after state officials said Tuesday the campaign had collected enough signatures to qualify for the ballot.
Citizens Not Politicians, the campaign group backing the amendment, needed to get 413,487 signatures, including a minimum number from 44 of Ohios 88 counties. Secretary of State Frank LaRose said Tuesday the group had exceeded that goal, turning in 535,005 signatures while exceeding the minimum requirement in 58 counties.

A bipartisan committee will investigate the shooting at TFG's rally
How easy was that? Apparently very easy. Compare what is happening now to the obstruction to the formation of a bipartisan committee to investigate J6. Compare this to the whining about the J6 committee being illegitimate because Pelosi had to act on her own.
The TFG party is consistently inconsistent.
I am sending Joe a thank you note
I encourage others to do the same. I would love to see the White House smothered in letters of appreciation. Let the world know we love Joe.
Return requests for contributions
I contribute by snail mail, so I avoid a lot of the text and email spam. I just received a request from Senate Majority PAC and a Senator who is up for reelection.
I returned the contribution form with my note indicating I am with Joe and will no longer contribute, so they may want to ask George Clooney or whatever big pockets they need. This is one way to let leadership know how many of us are unhappy with the tragic soap opera playing out in front of us.
Sadly this is exactly what the Supreme Court majority wanted. Democratic politicians played into their hands with this nonsense.
Project 2025 contributors
Among the contributors to Project 2025 are
Peter Navarro: One-time Trump staffer, self proclaimed expert on covid who pushed hydoxychloroquine, and current inmate following conviction for Contempt of Congress.
Stephen Moore: Economist who was held in contempt for failing to pay his ex-wife $300,000 in alimony and child support, following an acrimonious divorce
In her 2010 divorce complaint, Ms. Moore accused Mr. Moore of emotional and psychological abuse during their 20-year marriage, and accused him of carrying on an adulterous relationship that he was neither discreet nor inconspicuous about. The complaint said Mr. Moore had left receipts for dinners with his mistress around the house and that he purchased a T-shirt for his lover with the words Doing It.
In his response, Mr. Moore said he did not contest anything in Ms. Moores petition. NYT 1 April 2019. Trump Fed Picks Divorce Records Are Put Under Temporary Seal
Roger Severino - whose wikipedia page includes the following
As director of the HHS Office for Civil Rights, Severino removed nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people established in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Removing the provision allowed healthcare providers to deny care based on a patient's sexuality or gender identity.
Are these the people who should decide the direction of the USA for the next four years and maybe beyond? Time to consider what is in this proposal. I agree with the idea of a Project 2025 Forum.
I know this is a forum of free speech and shared ideas. IMO the more posts about Joe that express ideas, opinions and news other than the accomplishments of his administration or goals for the future, the less effective we will be in helping this election cycle. I have to remind myself of that as well. I am looking for information that might help me convince a few voters.
A Fever in the Heartland by Timothy Egan
Just finished this 2023 book about on the rise and fall of D.C. Stephenson who in the 1920s became the Grand Dragon of the KKK in Indiana. It is a chilling study of bigotry extending to everyone who wasnt a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant male, how that organization infiltrated the highest realms of government, how it spread beyond the borders of Indiana, and how it was undone by a brutal crime by Stephenson that frankly he could have gotten away with except for some extraordinary events.
The similarities between then and now are too many to ignore.
I highly recommend this book, but be prepared to be disturbed.
New York, New York is now on TCM
Cant believe I cut away to watch the George interview with Biden. Waste of time.
Doesn't the SCOTUS ruling make the documents case more important?
If TFG took those documents after he left office, he was no longer POTUS and therefore is not immune. I wonder what Jack Smith is thinking.
Watched the last third of the debate live and the entire debate this morning
Posted most of this in a reply to another OP, but will offer it here.
Maybe I was expecting something different based on the panic attacks I witnessed among the media, the supposed surrogate McCaskill, and some here. The MSNBC panel immediately after was stunningly disappointing and lost a lot of credibility for me.
Was Joe quick, slick and hitting bullseyes all night? No. What he did do was answer the questions, and respond to TFGs nonsensical statements with SPECIFIC examples of his record in office and how he plans to address existing concerns. TfG responded to questions with meandering musings that culminated in accusations, grievances and demonizing. I had no idea where he was going with his responses much of the time. Frankly, neither did the moderators who repeated a number of questions. Sounds like a guy who has no answer and succeeded in baffling many with bullsh@t.
Unlike some, I am glad the moderators repeated the questions to TFG. Those who do got lost or distracted by TFGs non-responses learned TFG has no answer, couldnt remember the question or didnt care about their concerns.
I do have one question. Did the Biden-Harris campaign have their own real time fact checker? They have elecronic media. Irrelevant to the debate itself, but home viewers with access to the campaign feed could get early debunking. Maybe that was not allowed.
