Clairvoyant only on a good day

When the fog rolls in by the coast,
and the tide is low
I find myself by the seashore
thinking about my chances
of survival, my overall health,
my general condition at hand
And world politics, on into the
near future maybe a couple
of days ahead of the
Secretary-General of The United Nations,
And ring ring, goes my cell phone,

What's up doc, Guterres bellows
like a whale,
And I smile, then I think,
before I say, Antonio, the world's
a total mess, we got to talk
soon, maybe tomorrow
but not today, because
today is a good day,
and today, I feel like writing
stupid poetry.

Okay, he says.
The world can wait.
How's the surf, he asks,
Man, it's way too foggy to say
Antonio, but you know me,
I kind of like it this way.

Free Falling, Tom Petty waned

Over the promise
the words that were written
by a wordsmith who projected
what might be a projection
that obliterates all the distrust,
and captured all that we love

The simple chords: D, G and A.
Yeah, I'm free, free falling.
Oh, I wish to be.

A wordsmith knows a good song,
they feel it in their bones to be the truest
thing.

It sticks. Yeah, it's easy.
You can repeat it over again,
Yeah, people like it.

She's a good girl.

Because it's poetry,
simple.
Clear as a bell!
Yeah, I'm free!

I want to glide down
I want to write her name in the sky,
I'm gonna free fall, out into nothing

I'm gonna leave this world for awhile

Yeah, I'm free

Some guy writes something simple
like this and puts simple chords to it

and somehow people gravitate towards
this hopeful thought

And it's worth it
informed people say,

only because it's true.

When there's nothing healthy about being young, or old

When you stop listening
all you try to do is read
or watch the old movie
when you were young
or perhaps before
when the world was portrayed
with all its worst in a more
concrete fashion
And you think, they were smarter
with all their crap than we
are because they knew they
needed to change.

And that's pretty bad
because things were pretty
bad back then.

And now, all you got is social
media, nobody's talking to neighbors
And this ICE thing.
Hell, what makes a real person,
my grandparents were immigrants
from Ireland, and catholic
and lowlife's and we were
lucky, lucky as hell,
we were free, and we'd
fight for it to the last breath
this freedom that
was supposed to be
the promised land
in America, so wide
and open,
expansive, there is no other
promise
I know what is like to feel
safe, walk down the street,
talk if I like, to a stranger,
look them in the eye
like a dog, like a dog,
I can almost smell them,
because I am
an American dog,
or at least a hopeful
American dog
filled with virtue
and promise
towards a better
world,
I know, such nonsense,
but it's what
I dreamed of,
just the truth, like
so many of us
did, and still do.

We'll never give up on the promise
there's too much riding on it
the dream is that strong
I do know this!

It's more than inclusive,
it is all the world, every damn kind,
we are all the same, always were
in distinct ways, our diversity
shows the way, it's more than unique,
because we give a damn,
we aren't perfect, far from it,
we need to correct everything
we have done wrong, collectively by
understanding the truth as a people

And that is not easy, it's hard as hell.
Change modern monetary theory to encompass
distribution the world over.

And do it not by exploitation, but by good deed.
Who better to do such a feat than a fully diversified
democracy.

What then, you might ask.
Well first, you got to get there.
The answer to it, is more than
obvious!

Fake pretentious origin stories

The sand was something the sea pushed up from its depths
of Vulcanic furnaces deep within the Earths smoldering core creating land/ and
mimicking the stars in the distant skies from where the Earth comes from,
creating life on land similar to that in the sea yet with far different constraints,
requiring a different composition of atmospheres.

And the Earth was such a jealous fool, and it needed to create something so new as to never be recreated again, so much so as to be thought about as the one and only that ever could be or ever was.

Yet it wasn't.
Far from it.

She was unique and that much is for sure, yet her progeny was but an epoch that transcends the understanding of her inhabitants, mere unfocused animal, unaware for their own sake, lost, relics just like your crazy old uncle Bob always said, liberal communist,
all think it's about them, when it really just ain't.

No, the Earth is a highly technical invention that was created with low taxes, and little governmental interaction.
Think of it as the free market, the Chicago School Milton Freeman Capitalist arm of liassez faire created by Adam Smith when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and were rode by the founders of America, the home of the free.

GW was a prokaryote no doubt and he emerged 2 thousand years ago to fight the Brits, and they battled on dinosaurs made of wood back then.

Before the advent of American Cheese. The best damn cheese there ever were and you know its true.

Truth, hence the very name, Kraft, single wrapped slices, accept no less!

The World is like a Mirror of history / since you've gone

I think Nostradamus had a something when he considered mirrors and history, and what might happen to the future.
It's kind of like artificial intelligence, the more data you have...

The way you turned the mirror inward or perhaps outward, there was something about replication of true pure data.
Something missed in the data, the finest points that could tell all.

There's always this beat on the street, a rhythm, a music to it. Blind people hear it more pronounced, the deaf feel it's vibration and they feel it more visually interpreted as they are more gifted in visual interpretation, naturally.

The painting is art, the depiction of art is more than a steady hand, it takes an eye, an idea of depth, more than straight edges,
there is a curvature, and degrees of shade.

It's hard to be a dime store artist these days. People said that 500 years ago, when people were more dispersed.
The animal was perhaps more pronounced trying harder to be loved, to be understood.

Closer than today, the wild is not the domesticated dog or cat, mere pets they make commercial food stuffs for.

since you've gone....

Putting context into life, understanding, or at least trying to see what was lost in the future past all the noise.

If you could.

Peace!

Meeting people these days

His name was Joel,
divorced, age 71, he told me he purchased his house, that's all he got from the divorce,
but luckily it was in a prized part of town and is worth a lot more than what he paid.
He said, he still works, but from home. He loves where he lives, and he is apolitical.
Joel, if that's what his real name is, I don't really know, said, I don't expect much from life
anymore, it's just me and my old dog, and I won't mention the dogs name, but she was a nice
dog, kind of looked like a sheep herder's dog, I'll call her Sally, that's what Joel called her.

Anyway, just meeting this fellow, saying hi, like one does, me and my dog walking in the same parkway,
trying to be nice and personable, this guy Joel tells me all about his life these days.
And I thought, man that's cool and quaint. Maybe there's something to learn here.

Anyway, after about half an hour transpires, and my dog is really bored on her leash and all.

This kind of thing happens all across the US these days like it's almost happenstance.

We all come across some person without really getting to know them because we are a bit afraid to really reach out.
And then, they start a chattering on and on, you know telling you all about their life and trying not to get too political, and their
story turns this way and that, and you can relate here and there, and you don't exactly connect, but still, you can kind of relate.

And the only thing you think is this. Next time;

When I see this guy, his name is Joel, and his dog Sally, or Sam, I need to say hi.

And, smile or at least wave.

On a walk in a beautiful part of the town I met an old guy, whom I won't name.

To Fight back you need the Topic Experts to speak

All the time,
The real experts are considered to be the nerds in the background who never get a chance to speak.
Well, if you really want all this highfalutin dream of a better world, it needs to be well diagramed and
described in a way the commoner can understand, and that takes experts.

And I do mean by people who really do give a damn!
I mean what is going on with Putin needs to be stopped real quick !

And what is going on in
Gaza today is the worst war crimes in human history
all thanks to the far right in Israel which is nothing less
than what Hitler did in WWII.

We will all of us perish if we don't understand climate change,
informed folks do understand this, please, we all must unify enough
to fight this manmade scourge, otherwise all of the world's children
have no hope whatsoever!!!

And today, all the techbros with the unregulated AI which is full of shit and out of control,
along with bitcoin bullshit up the wazoo, is, to be generous, to anyone who understands
its big bowl of crap beyond any possible fully portrayal of contrived conceivable worth!

Meanwhile, Trump is making huge cuts to the bedrock of science in the US.

Listen, this is no time to put your legs between your collective knees and hope for the
best.

We have to fight this bullshit now!
And to do this we don't need more politicos who don't know shit from shinola!!!

Folks, we need the best of us to speak, and hell yes, we are all afraid,
as we should be, so we need to understand the truth that if described in it's truest
form we can act.

We need to get real! If we want universal healthcare, we got to find a way to pay for it
And it has to make fucking sense, to at the very least the majority of voters.

You can't be Bernie Sanders, if you can't back it up with facts, and I love Bernie,
but you got to almost prove it with facts and logic verbatim ...
You got to talk about globalism in a way that makes sense...

Free markets, can and do work but now what we got is not free markets,
it's all terribly rigged. Show the people how patents fuck the people, talk about how patent reform
saves more money than cutting medicare and social security for seniors.

Talk about cost for fighting climate change against doing nothing.

Bring experts into the argument - congress do your fucking job,
And fuck you too corporate journalism, you suck a whole lot these days!

Let's get this world going in the right direction you
You You Yous...
And now, not tomorrow!
The Supreme Court today is paid for by Corporatist
And that just ain't constitutional no way, no how!
Fight Fight Fight anyone who gives a damn, Please!
Peace!

Jesus was only the first

Whoa,
everybody wants to belong
everything I say is wrong
What can I do,
when you don't understand a word.

They use that name in vain
They say if you don't know Jesus
you are cursed.

Was there a purpose,
A reason,
Was it easy,

What is joy
Is there a season
did you ever walk by
someone with no hope
and wished you could help
but felt you couldn't

and felt vexed
and just moved along

it ain't easy being defenseless,
being poor, being downtrodden,
for any reason, whoever you are,

you see it in others
you see it in different species
where you can relate

It's very old
and horribly true

no matter what you invent
to mask the tragedy

Once,
there was this Mother Teresa

And they said, she didn't help
- you could put this all in the back of your mind
somehow

it had to come down to the collective mind

literally, that's what they said, those corporate giants,

Those techies,

bitcoin's and AI's - or maybe it was an A1 sauce
on a barbeque pit

cooked up on the East side of Chicago

where kids die by stray bullets every week

and it never makes the news.

Your Dear Family

If you are lucky like me,
you love your family.
You see pretty easily that life is a cloth that is not easily
worn, for it is woven by a world of uncertainty.

You know this by your surroundings, the disparities you
witness every day throughout your life.

And whether or not you yearn to speak or write about it,
or hold it all within your soul, you do recognize that the world is wild
and untamed.
Hemingway knew this, Sigmund Freud tried to understand
the simplicity of the human conscience, others tried to control
unjustly the human spirit, wrongly thinking they could create
some machine-like master race.

In Western thought, the brownskin people were somehow
inferior, they pushed the thought that one race was lower in rank,
it was never close to being true, but they pushed it for hundreds of years
all the same.

And now, you are all left with this.
Almost like a long book you would never dare read,
A Moby Dick-like Novel which is fully filled with
truth, but which is mostly for far too many
unreadable, and far too long, and written in verbiage
of a long-gone English stylistic language.

So much so that it becomes so crushingly deflating.
Everything in all possibility has been over conflated,
the drama is here and now, and it is so unreal
we are all asking ourselves what, exactly what course would
Arthur C. Clarke advise us to take just now.

Here's what I think he would advise.

Stay together, talk to each other.
Don't get too snarled, stick together
and fight for human rights.

Weather this storm. Learn all you can about your fellow human.
Care a great deal about every last one more than yourself.

And those who are gifted to write for the good, please do,
and never stop.
