Luckovich strikes again.

And damn near draws blood.

So sad it’s hard to look at.

SOOOOOOOOO glad they found the missing airman.

David Rohde: “Amazing that he was able to evade capture.”

MSNOW's Richard Lui broke in with the breaking news

just after the 9pm hour, West Coast time. I’m posting this at 9:29pm Pacific time.

“Missing U.S. airman is now ‘safe and sound’.”

That may depend on how all the staffers have been leaned on, hard

in order to keep them quiet.

I do not know. I’m just guessing about possible scenarios.

What I did notice is how surprisingly brief his Wednesday evening televised speech was.

Plus, he made NO attempt to address what the public is starting to notice: the economy that’s sagging, while he basically avoided any explanation(s) for it. And we’ve heard his claims that things will get better soon. He’s been 2 or 3 weeks-ing it for awhile now. Over more than a month, at least.

I'd guess his age is starting to have an impact.

Not sure exactly how much, but we sure have A LOT of evidence for comparison’s sake.

There’s also ALL the NEVER-ENDING film and video clips and specials and mini-docs that we have, by now, from his first four-year term. And now, we have this second one that’s not halfway through yet. It’s a load big enough for multiple ocean liners. What we saw on Wednesday night was a blessedly brief speech during which he looked a bit propped up in his presentation.

Where was the energy, the vigor, the evidence that he was doing more than just reading a TelePrompTer? Yeah, he got all the words in there but it’s becoming clear that the energy isn’t there anymore. I can’t help but suspect that maybe he’s getting bored. Maybe he thinks he shouldn’t have to “earn it” anymore. Maybe he thinks his supreme excellence is such a standard by now that he shouldn’t have to keep working at it anymore. To him maybe it’s a case of “you guys owe me, now”.

Hmmmm... the more I think about it, the better I like it!

Hey, Raphael Warnock. Senator AND Minister. A MOST intriguing idea, and potential candidate!

I can already see myself talking him up and then sealing it with a vote.

We The People need to MAKE him leave.

Wish it could happen now, but that’d leave us with J.D. Vance.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
