Fitness influencer, 31, is 'working on recovery' after being placed on a ventilator

Her story is pretty damn inspirational, and I've never read anything about her being vocally anti-vax, so I'm not going to talk any smack on this one. Heck, might not even be C19 (though seems possible).

Get well soon Lexi!!!

Lexi Reed, a fitness influencer, is beginning the road to recovery after being placed on a ventilator during an unnamed illness.

The influencer, 31, gained Instagram fame in 2016 as she documented an intense weight-loss journey. She lost 312 pounds, alongside her husband Danny Reed, who lost 95 pounds.

Now, though, she is hospitalized and unable to walk, according to a post by her husband.

"A few weeks ago Lexi kept getting sick and couldn't keep any food down," Reed wrote on his wife's Instagram account. "She then started acting differently so I took her to the hospital where they admitted her into ICU, placed on a medically induced coma, on a ventilator, and (told) me that her organs started failing."

I have a super trippy, 100% real story to share with you guys ...

So, my dad and two brothers and I are lifelong Oakland Raiders fans ... first game Dad took me to was 1975 when I was like ... 9. Or possibly 8, I'd have to check the stub

I went to at least 50 games at the Oakland Coliseum over the years, both before they left for LA (1982), and more so after they came back (1995 iirc?).

My dad grew up in Oakland with the son of one of Al Davis' best friends. This is a dude who owned a furniture outlet next to the stadium since the early 70's and sat in Al's box for decades, his name was Sam Bercovich, and Sam's son used to often sell his 4 Raiders tickets, to our family.

So our family often used to go into Raider games at the Coliseum getting in with tickets that were for Al Davis' box. However, it was a rule we were not to go into box, had to find seats elsewhere, or hang out in the Club. Al didn't appreciate strangers ... so I can't say I ever met him.

Shifting gears ... on October 8th, 2011, I married my lovely (now ex) wife. The ceremony and reception ... was at Lake Temescal Boathouse. Which is in ... Oakland, CA. She and I lived in Arizona at the time, but went back to the Bay for the wedding.

I'm not FROM Oakland, as such, unlike my dad. I never lived there myself, I'm from nearby Walnut Creek and Orinda. But I was born in Oakland, and I liked the idea of getting married there, and the venue was cool.

Okay, so ... that's some background to this trippy story. Thanks for reading this far

Anyways, on the morning of our wedding ... Al Davis, iconic Hall of Fame owner of the Oakland Raiders ... died.

Even this confluence of events ... is at least a little bit trippy, right?

Before I go on let my mention our dad ... was a big believer in 'numerology' type stuff. He loved when he could imagine up strange coincidences with numbers, you probably know the sort. Important point here is ... my dad was born in 1944.

Come around to 2019. Pops is dying of stage 4 pancreatic at the hospital. Not in Oakland, but in Alameda County, not far from Oakland.

It was the night after a Raiders game, my bros and I had been at the hospital with him, watching the game, but Pops was sick/drugged up/totally out of it and we had no idea if he'd known there was a game on even. He never said a word during the game and barely opened his eyes

But later that night, he had a last moment of lucidity and asked my Sister-In-Law B, who was keeping watch on that shift, if you will, he asked her ... 'did we win?'.

And my SiL said "yes Jim, the Raiders won!' and he said 'Good!'.

Then he slipped back into oblivion, never said another word to any of us, and died a day or so later.

Why do I bring this up? Because my SiL is the daughter of a former manager of ... The Oakland A's, who of course shared the Oakland Coliseum with the Raiders. Oh, and ... B was also a Raiderette at one time.

But here's where it all gets crazy trippy ... the date, that my beloved dad, lifelong Raider fan ... expired?

October 8th, 2019.

So ... he passed on the 8th, exactly 8 years to the day after Al Davis died, which was also my anniversary ... and my dad was born in 1944, and 4+4 equals ... what?

I, his first son, was also born in October. On the 19th to be precise. And 9-1 = you know

As pointed out by JudyM below, I was born on 10/19 (month/day) and pops passed in 10/19 (month/year).

Pops would've freaking loved it.

Thanks for reading friends, hope you enjoyed

The Struts - Put Your Money On Me (1/28/2022 - Tempe, AZ - My Phone - Post #2)

Funny thing ... at the 4:20 mark Luke looked straight at me, and I'm a pretty big dude so I'm easy to see (plus I was wearing a Union Jack t-shirt) ... I was doing that 'make it rain' hand motion (my ladyfriend was actually filming that song, not me) ... and then he started doing it ... so that was fun
