A Minneapolis civil-rights lawyer has turned amateur filmmaker to produce an award-winning, very political, radical movie about this issue, starring Roger Guenveur Smith (of "K Street" fame on HBO last spring).

This is one of the most crucial issues in the lives of the "Democratic base", yet NO nonminority Democrat even broached the subject during the campaign, let alone proposed that anything be done about it. This is why we're living in Republican hell--Democrats are ignoring the issues that are most important to the Democratic base. Only tangential discussion of this issue even takes place on DU.
