Did you see Frank Luntz talk circles around David Brancaccio of NOW last Friday - telling him exactly how they do this. David absorbed it all with that uncomprehending deer-in-the-headlights look.

People believe what feels good. They only use their brains to justify it.

The RW has been feeding focus-group-tested feel-good phrases to the voters for thirty years now and have put in place a powerful RW communications stream that reaches millions of voters every day with those messages - all on topic, all packed in the sizzle that sells them.

And we keep believing that because we are right and they are wrong on the facts - that the average voter is going to go to the trouble to give shit.
