We need to get our message out that the economy, after some good news earlier this year, has been hit by a series of bad news lately (last month's job numbers were very disappointing, durable goods orders have been down 2 months in a row, etc...)

However, it's getting lost in the MassMedia blather that the economy is doing great because corporate profits are soaring.
