42. I just realized -- this is classic criminal gang mentality
"They did it to us so we've gotta get them back" is a rationalization most commonly employed by street gangs and criminal organizations, including terrorists. By and large these groups are made up of anti-social young men with mal-adapted coping skills, a deviant sense of morality, and a vengeful desire for power over others. They find validation within an exclusive 'family' dominated by a leader (or leaders) who lays down strict codes of conduct and demands everyone think alike and for the good of the group, or they're out. The 'enemy' is anyone who attacks them or gets in their way. Things like societal law, empathy, and remorse have no place in their twisted sense of justice...and if innocent people get caught up in the conflict, oh well. To them the ends always justify the means. (i.e. "We don't care, we don't care...")

The way Bush** practices authoritarian rule, it's no wonder his most vicious supporters are those who identify with this aberrant mentality.
