If he signs up, he is indebted to take a life of another should the occasion arise, and live with knowing by his action, it would be like throwing back his very existence, as if he wished not to be. If it be that his own life be taken, he will not worry any more. but tell him he is precious, to you, and show him, and let him feel his own preciousness, and he will see others as himself.
