230. There are ways for kids to protest a war without name-calling.
I think that's the point. The war is wrong. End the war. Those are all anti-war statements, and are neutral to other people. I think people are objecting to the use of "ASSHOLES" in the sign. That is a personal attack on people, and not something a child should be experiencing developmentally at that age.

I was totally anti-war, but my parents never expressed that type of hostility toward other people in relation to it. Teaching a child how to oppose things without turning it into something personal is a valuable lesson in their life.

I suspect the photo was more about something amusing than actually teaching their children to call adults "assholes". I hope.
