but I don't remember where. That would IMHO be a great idea. In fact I usually do that anyway in the cooler months. Or at most just go to a very local restaurant and may be the bookstore.

That I think would make an impact. I'd also suggest the soccer moms quit chauffering around the kids to all these soccer/baseball/dance/karate/basketball etc., games/classes. Let the kids play in the local park, at each other's homes, etc. Get that picture perfect yard a little messed up with playing kids.

Gee I grew up just fine playing pickup games with the neighbor kids. Didn't need a bunch of adults around to cheer & officiate.

I used to teach karate to kids and never understood what was the big attraction to bringing kids as young as 3 to all these organized activities and spending bucko bucks on them.

But I guess then they'd have to beware of the homeowner's associations. :evilgrin:
