24. Man...and I thought our Ragdoll, Cuddles, was big.
He was a chubby 17 pounds. Then my friend gave me a kitten, Ginsberg. A couple months later, Cuddles was 15 pounds. The vet was concerned, ran a few tests, everything came back fine. Then, we realized it was because he had previously lived in a "triangle" for 8 years...food, litterbox, couch, repeat. The oldest cat, Midnight, would decide to attack him once in awhile and that almost was exercise for him. Midnight is 9 pounds of sheer territorial dominance. None of the pets fuck with her. Of course, Cuddles being lazy and having a massive amount of thick protective fur, would walk slightly quicker than normal for about 5' then just let Midnight pin him. After a few minutes, she would walk away triumphant with claws covered in giant tuffs of "cottonball" fur and a mouth full of the same. Cuddles would then take a nap.

Well, Ginsberg was (and is) a never-ending ball of energy. It was all expended either chasing/playing-fighting Cuddles, chasing/being chased by the German Shepherd, or running away/hiding from Midnight. A kitten turned out to be the only effective diet for Cuddles. They're best friends now. Cuddles, Ginsberg, and Cheyenne (the dog) often sleep together. Ginsberg still expends a lot of energy running from Midnight, even though he's now about 11-12 pounds of pure muscle.

I always say that Midnight has the best life of all the pets. She takes no shit & commands immediate respect upon entering the room/going outside (even though she's by far the smallest, except for the Yorkie next door...she stares her down through their glass door). Apparently, she also has an endless supply of lives, which always comes in handy.

I'd post pics of everybody but I don't have a photo host.
