Her name is Deborah (full name not exposed to protect the innocent). She was dreamy. Long, straight, dark hair...beautiful eyes...young (we were in first grade). We were friends, but I wanted more. Hand holding, milk sharing, a kick in the shins because I had cooties. Yeah. She moved away the next year.

Now? She's in power, somewhere. High profile attorney, defending the weak and innocent. Maybe a member of Congress (one of those "good ones" that do it all right, but we never hear about). Sigh...
