The balance of pros and cons to going on is always in danger of shifting its weight to the other foot. It's precarious. Sometimes it seems like there's enough reason, but others, nope. I mean there's always SOME reason, but whether it's a GOOD ENOUGH reason is the question. There are lots of reasons to just quit, too. Too damned many of them.

Not a good day. Not a good three and a half decades, either.
