Fish tacos?!?! That's just WRONG! You hate us for our freedoms!
I object even more to post #3 - "serveche" tacos. Now I'd heard of "serveche" before - on a PBS chef competition show. Clearly, whatever it was, it was hella trendy. So I googled it today and come to discover that it is also fish that allegedly is "cooked without heat" -- it is "cooked" by putting it into contact with the acids in citrus fruit! Ooh yummy!
Surely people here remember a thread a couple of days ago that gave up all a great laugh -- the Weight Watchers Recipe Cards from 1974 or something. They were hilarious.
But has anything REALLY changed? Back then, it seemed, all the trendoids were putting MACKEREL and/or PIMENTOS in everything. Today, it's SERVECHE and/or CILANTRO. (Oh, and don't forget "risotto" also.):banghead:
