8. Simply love DU and the part of democrazy that's still alive...
in the USA. As much as I hate Bush, I don't feel like looking from a democratic country that's doing well (Germany) to another country that's not doing well. I guess we're facing the same problems somehow. I don't even believe the german, french or russian government is about "peace" or human rights or democrazy for a minute. They just have different interests, mostly economic interests. There's no government in Europe or anywhere else I support. But I feel solidarity with all the people in the streets or elsewhere, in Europe, Latin America or the USA, fighting for social justice, democrazy and freedom, against the idiots and terrorists, who have hijacked our world.
And apart from this, I really admire DU for the miracle it is: to let so many different people with different perspectives and even from different countries respect one another. I know pretty well that there is a lot of frustration, dissapointment and anger too, when so many different people meet, but it still works. And the moderators do a pretty good job.
Hello from Germany and thank God that there is somehting like DU in this world,
Dirk
