Most of the world never heard of Paris Hilton until the sex tape came out, now she's everywhere.

Madonna's nudes from her art modeling days surfaced, then she put out her own book SEX and appeared nude in several movies, and I really think that all gave her career a second wind.

If the Britney sex tapes are released, she can just move into more "grown up" music... or not. In today's "porn star" culture, I'm sure no teenage girls or boys would be alienated by it... might even revitalize her career after a few years doing the birthin' babies bit. Plus, if she stands up to the blackmail, that's certainly a more positive example than caving in out of fear to blackmail, only to have "bootleg" copies surface after the fact (which is inevitable).
