Rented "The Da Vinci Code" last night - what a stinker!

I read the book years ago, it was fine, breezy, an entertaining day. Not great literature, nor really even good literature, but it presented an idea that captivated millions of people.

The movie adaptation was just boring and flat and not really entertaining at all. And was it just me, or did Tom Hanks (someone I like) sound nasally the whole time? Or was it just in comparison to Gandalf's sonorous, lovely voice when the two had scenes together?

On a frivolous note, I really liked Audrey Tatou's skirt and shoes in the movie. Skirt had an extremely flattering cut, and the shoes were lovely. Anyone have any clue who the designer was? That's the most lasting part of the movie for me - the single outfit "Sophie" wore.

Any other opinions?
