One, the reformed "ex-Satanist high priest" who supposedly led thousands of devil worshippers in California and claimed to have inside knowledge of all sorts of creepy activities. The other, the goofy, silly, longhaired, slightly hippified, puppy-eyed, Vietnam vet, "Christian comedian".

His claims of having been a Satanist leader were thoroughly debunked. He never was. It effectively killed both his careers.

But what is he trying to do today to restart his career? The alleged ex-Satanist thing. During the 80s he found that playing up the "ex-Satanist" angle brought in a lot more money - and attention in mainstream media where he was frequently cited as an "expert" on Satanism - than his comedy shows ever did.
