Several years ago I used a Braun and it was great.
I had it for a long time, had the battery replaced once, replaced cutter and screen several times, but it finally wore out, and I replaced it.
The new one was crap and didn't shave near as well as my old one.
I talked to a guy who ran a razor repair shop and he said they had gone to a smaller motor and that Brauns were indeed now crap.

My Panasonic isn't quite as good as my old Braun, but I like it better than the current Brauns.
They're pretty inexpensive online and in catalogues if you want to try one.
I think the single blade is better than the double or triple blade model.
