62. I think it is very busy in the summer, but the rest of the year much less crowded - although
it can be very cold there in any season except summer! So probably September would be OK, after Labor Day but before it starts getting really cold. Bear Lake is probably the easiest to get to, you can drive right to the parking lot and walk around the lake. It is the start of a trail to Nymph Lake, Emerald Lake and Dream Lake, so the farther up the trail you go the more sparse the crowds will be. And there are many other lakes and ponds there.
