33. Our black hairball is named Chaucer.
He was named that when he came to us and we never changed it. IF I was to name him on my own it would be either Lothario (seducer of virgins) or maybe Kramer because he bursts into a room like Kramer did on Seinfeld.

I take exception to the notion that all black cats are stupid. I have to tell you, that Chaucer is WAY more interactive with people than ANY cat I've ever had--including Tillie(you bitch!) who used to answer the phone for me. This guy runs to the door to meet us when we get home and he actually tries to enter into conversation with us by injecting a meow or two. Darndest thing I have EVER seen, and I have lived with cats for over 45 years...

I will admit he's spoiled, a lap spud, and lazy but he's also one of the sweetest animals I have EVER known.

As far as a name, I thought of Pixel immediately when I saw that picture--don't ask me why. Maybe he's a little black spot so far, but I'm betting he'll be a fairly big boy by the time he's a couple of years old.

Enjoy your new kitty!!!

Laura
