11. Eh, no matter where you are
there's gonna be somethin' to screw up your day.

I decided a long time ago I prefer earthquakes to other examples of Ma Nature's pissed-offedness because by the time you're scared, they're over. With most of 'em, like this one, you don't even get scared if you're a native. You just go "Good little shake" or whatever.

With tornadoes and hurricanes and floods and famine and pestilence and stuff, you've got warnings and alerts and all that junk that just makes the tension build.
