"Homicide investigators are trying identify a woman whose dead body was found in an Eastside park early Tuesday by a 12-year-old boy.
"She was laying on her side and blood was coming on the cement, and she had blood on her shirt," Kenneth Palmore Jr. said. "I said, 'Hey, that looks like a dead lady.'"
His dad called police to the scene at 1325 East 21st Street.
While police told Channel 4's Jennifer Waugh that it's early in their investigation and they don't have many facts, it appears the woman was shot in the head. Crime scene investigators are paying particular attention to a commercial trash receptacle near the park. "
