Sometimes it panders to the right, in my opinion. It tries to be "fair and balanced", so to speak, which is an understandable goal, but a lot of the time, in the Opinion / Editorial section, they entertain viewpoints that have been shown to be false. For example, letters from people who deny global warming. They graciously respect the views of Bush-lovers. And they often print Rich Lowry's column. Ugh!

The Oregonian is an entertaining paper to read, though. Now that I live in WA I see the Seattle papers are a bit more serious.

I'll check out the Eugene Register Guard when I get a chance.
