wow - channel surfing and only stopped at Fox because I saw Howard Dean's pic flash up. Discussion about DNC chair.

I believe it was Hannity's show. Guests were Wm Bennett and Jerry Brown (Oakland, CA mayor).

Jerry Brown was dissing Dean, saying he was the wrong choice, he brought "too much baggage", blah, blah, blah...various other criticisms in how he wouldn't be right for the role. STFU Jerry Brown.

Wm Bennett, however, had genuine, warm praise for Dean. Talked about how he has debated with Dean, and admires and likes him. Said he was incredibly intelligent, passionate and a real advocate for his party. He said "I don't believe Dean is a "looney liberal", I believe he is a "liberal", and he isn't afraid to say that". He said he thought Dean could be very effective in red states as he is plain spoken and a Washington outsider. He also hailed his positive experience as a governor. He said he would be a real plus for the Dem party and if he were picking, Dean would be his pick. Now, this was not snarky, backhanded compliments, he was very genuine and sincere in his comments - very opposite of Jerry Brown. I know, I know, it's Bill Bennett, but he seemed forthright on this and I was floored.

Alan Colmes, token liberal, also had warm words for Dean.

What kind of bizarro world are we in when Wm Bennett agrees with so many of us and Jerry Brown is slamming Dean from inside the party?????
