Its mother fucking incompetence every time. No one's at the wheel assessing the situation and preparing a response. There's not one goddamn reason why Rice as NSA shouldn't have sorted this out. Once again they are a day late and a dollar short, obesessed with the crap game they have going in Iraq and ignoring an opportunity for a masterstroke in the "war on terror". They could have been magnanimous like never before and genuinely altered people's thinking about the USA. That's how diplomacy gets advanced. One fine day the people who voted for this boob have just got to realize that Bush is just plain small-time.
