8. Generally, they vote at very low rates. Here in Texas we've done much to
try to fix that situation, but with little luck. I had great hope that the immigration marches would result in more Tejano voter registrations and actual votes, but I was once again disappointed. Also, another generalization is that they vote based on a candidate's race rather than the candidate's positions on racial (or non-racial) issues in slightly higher percentages as compared to some other minorities.
